Mechanical Engineering is a glorious discipline that has fashioned our grandest ships, greatest factories, mightiest engines and fastest cars
Mechanical engineers design, develop, manufacture and maintain machines & tools spanning across varied sectors. They develop better generators, internal combustion engines, turbines, refrigeration, air-conditioning, agriculture equipment, machine tools, industrial systems, production systems and robots. Students with a strong liking for the real world, fascination for machines, scientific aptitude, creativity and multi-disciplinary thinking are best suited for this field.
With highly experienced faculty, well-equipped workshops & labs, the ME department at Krishangi Tech has produced outstanding mechanical engineers over the years.
SCOPE AND HIGHLIGHTS
Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest and the broadest of the engineering disciplines. It is a fascinating world of machines, CNCs, lathes, foundries, tools and equipment. Its scope is growing with each day given the constant induction of new technologies and software.
The demand of mechanical engineers in India is phenomenal as the “Make in India’ program announced by the government seeks to rival China as the world’s manufacturing facility. Only a talented pool of mechanical engineers can help our nation realize this dream. The ME department at Krishangi Tech, with a keen eye on the latest advances in the field, and a rich pool of men & material is all set to meet the challenge.
ELIGIBILITY
10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science (IT). At least 50% marks in the above toree subjects taken together. The Candidate must have passed English as a subject in 10+2 Examination. Merit in University Entrance Exam (Q-CARE), IIT JEE (Mains), State Level Entrance Exams shall be given preference.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
There is a huge dermand for Mechanical Engineers in both private & public sector. Automobile, Shipping, Aviation, Manufacturing, Power and Environmental sectors are huge and generate constant employment for mechanical engineers. Students from Krishangi Tech have constantly been absorbed by auto majors like Tata and Mahindra. They are also successfully placed in sectors ranging from Pharmaceuticals and Refrigeration to Food Processing and have even been hired by large consultancy companies as Technical Analysts. One can even opt for Civil. Defense or Engineering services
Besides the job sector, Krishangi Tech students also pursue post-graduate programs such as MTech or MBA both within and outside the country. Mechanical engineering also offers a huge scope for entrepreneurship and sell-employment
