Course Description
Petroleum Engineering concerns Itself with the commercial production of fossil fuels and allied products. Petroleum Engineering involves the design and development of efficient technology for exploring & extracting petroleum deposits. It is a diverse interplay of different disciplines as Engineering, Chemistry, Geology and Economics. This is one of the most popular branch of Engineering at Krishangi Tech, consequent upon the huge scope that it offers.
Consistent project-based learning, valuable internships at petroleum giants like GNGC, and unremitting training on both upstream and downstream software are some of the defining features of the program at Krishangi Tech, All this comes in an inter-disciplinary environment where, along with the BTech program, one could also study an open elective such as Entrepreneurship, Economics or even a Foreign Language.

SCOPE AND HIGHLIGHTS
Petroleum Engineers are in high demand the world over due to the importance of hydrocarbon fuels.
Petroleum Engineering is usually pursued with a dual approach. Upstream Engineering concentrates on the fundamental aspects of exploration and production of petroleum, natural gas and allied products. Downstream Engineering works on retining of petroleum crude oil and the processing and purifying, marketing and distribution of products derived from crude oil and natural gas. The three major aspects of Petroleum Engineering concern Reservoir, Drilling and Production
Petroleum engineers are one of the best paid professionals as their profile often includes substantive field work and travel They also enjoy attractive health insurance and retirement plans.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
A Petroleum engineer has an extensive range of profiles to choose from. Some of these job profiles are Completion Engineer, Petroleum Engineer, Production Engineer, Reservoir Engineer, Distribution Engineer, Transportation Engineer, Simulation Engineer, Refinery Manager, Industrial Engineer. Product Testing Engineer, Exploration Engineer, Materials Scientists, Geo Scientists and Chemists
Their role spans across public and private sectors with a large number of petroleum giants, both national and multinational, to choose from. Some of the prominent names that generate huge employment include ONGC, IOC, GAIL, Reliance, Shell, Schlumberger, HPCL, BPCL and Of India Limited, among others.
